Guys… our first Girl Talk episode is here! I’m so excited about this series and have loved reading all the messages that have been sent through so far. I can’t wait for many more!
Now, onto our first question of the series… eep!
“How is your relationship so perfect?”
Sooo this question made me chuckle to myself. And to the person who sent it through (you know who you are!), that’s so nice of you to say! The idea of posting this question is a little cringey, but I’ve actually gotten this from a few people and that’s very strange to me. No one’s relationship is perfect, but I do think that Daniel and I are definitely very well-suited to each other and that we treat each other the right way!
We Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff
I’m so thankful that this is a habit of ours because it can be so easy to get caught up in the little things and let them spiral into something much worse. I think it’s important to take a breath in the moment and really think about whether or not it will matter in the future – like, even in the next few minutes. It makes all the difference!
We Keep it Silly
Daniel and I have the exact same sense of humor… and a very weird one at that! We love to make each other laugh, and in the end I think that’s one of the most important things you can do in a relationship. At the end of your days, you’ll want to be with the person who makes you smile the most, right?
We’re Just Good to Each Other
I’m insanely lucky to have such a sweetheart by my side! When Daniel is good to me, it makes me want to be even better to him, and he feels the same, which creates a very healthy cycle between the two of us. Even the smallest gestures, like opening doors or a kiss on the cheek, go a long way.
Every relationship has its moments, and sometimes it’ll take some work to get over the bumps along the way. But overall, I think you should just be with the person who makes you feel your best and who pushes you to be better every day, and vice versa. And we found that in each other! Our relationship definitely isn’t perfect, but it’s perfect to me.
